Our current broodmares breeding stars of the future

Clifden Supreme Champion 2022

Cashelbay Kate

(Cashelbay Prince x Frederiksminde Mathilda ex Hazy Dawn)

2012, gr, m, 147cm, Class 1

Clifden Supreme In Hand Champion 2022

Clifden Broodmare Champion 2022

Cashelbay Kate has followed in the footsteps of her famous sire Cashelbay Prince and has been successful both in-hand and under saddle from an early age winning numerous junior championships including reserve junior champion in Clifden as a 3 year old.

Under saddle she won the ridden class in Dublin, won several working hunter championships, and won in-hand in Clifden in 2018.

Cashelbay Kate now has a smashing 2 year old filly by our own stallion Carrowmore Shadow, and has a stunning yearling colt by Aniar Cashel.

In foal for 2023 again to our resident stallion Carrowmore Shadow

Cashelbay Kate has proven herself time and again either in hand and under saddle, and made a flawless transition from a performance pony to being an outstanding broodmare. The future for this lady is bright and will be sure to include more in-hand showing and possibly more under saddle in the future!

Frederiksminde Mellow II

(Hazy Dawn x Frederiksminde Mellow ex Hazy Dawn)

2008, gr. m 147cm

Frederiksminde Mellow II has always been kept as an in-hand show pony achieving Junior Champion at every show attended, and has since gone on to win several more championships including Balmoral!

A record such as this earmarked her as a superb broodmare and her 2019 filly foal Cashelbay Mellow by Cashelbay Prince did not disappoint winning champion foal on both of their outings!

2022 she had a stunning dark dun colt foal by the one and only Cashelbay Rocket, who will surely follow in the footsteps of his outstanding parents.

And in 2023 we are awaiting a foal by the classically bred resident stallion Park Ronan

With breeding and a showing record such as hers, Frederiksminde Mellow II is definitely a foundation mare for the future!

Cashelbay Amy

(Silver Shadow x Cashelbay Mary ex Frederiksminde Hazy Match)

2016, g, m, 147cm, Class 1

Cashelbay Amy has always shown great promise winning in-hand with ease as a 2 and 3 year old in locations such as Moycullen, Spiddal, Carraroe (winning Junior Champion), South East Clare Show (winning Supreme Champion), Athlone and Claregalway show. She is broken and ridden and now has a yearling filly by the performance stallion Pumkin’s Pondi, and has a foal again for 2023 by Poetic Kelly!

We are really looking forward to the next stage in this outstanding mare’s career, which will be sure to include more in-hand showing and possibly more under saddle in the future!

Ballinderry Polly

(Illaunurra Lad x Beech Honey ex Monaghanstown Boy)

2016, d, m, 146cm, Class 1

HWSD: N/N

Ballinderry Polly was lightly shown in-hand as a 2 and three year old, and was earmarked as a broodmare for her traditional breeding and superb conformation. She currently has had a gorgeous yearling colt, Cashelbay Noah, by our own stallion Seabreeze Mirah. Though a maiden mare, she has taken well to motherhood.

Cashelbay Jenny

(Ice And Fire D’Albran x Cashelbay Lady Sue ex Cashelbay Rocket)

2018, gr, m, 146cm, Class 1

HWSD: N/N

Cashelbay Jenny by the performance stallion Ice and Fire D’Albran out of our own homebred Cashelbay Lady Sue. Having gained her class one status with ease in 2021 it was a natural progression to put her in foal to our own Seabreeze Mirah. She has taken well to motherhood and we very much look forward to see their future!
