We would like to thank everyone who were so quick off the mark in spotting that our website had been hacked this weekend (Clifden week, of all weeks!). We apologise for any inconvenience caused – thankfully nothing of an inappropriate nature was shown. We have repaired the damage, and march on. It is unfortunate that [...]
Quality over quantity was the name of the game at the Athenry Show this year, with compact but very competitive classes to be had throughout. We are delighted to be associated with the show, and offer our heartiest congratulations to Terence Sweeney and his marvelous Dunloughan Troy on winning the inaugural Joe Fallon Perpetual Trophy [...]
With a new In-Hand ring, and amidst a drive to improve and build the show, the organisers of the Athenry show are bringing forward some new classes and qualifiers – many with very generous prize funds. The Connemara, Pony, and WH sections of the schedule are posted here.
Cashelbay Clancy and Ginger Meg have both foaled, giving birth to a filly foal and a colt foal respectively. We were lucky enough to be on hand to take some lovely pictures of Cashelbay Clancy with her first foal, just minutes after birthing, which you can view here.
Another big crowd for the Connemara classes at the Royal Ulser Agricultural Society’s annual show at Balmoral. The organising committee (Ann & Derek Henderson and Joan Hinchcliffe in particular) are to be congratulated on another very successful outing, with well attended classes despite the early calendar date. Our congratulations to Joan Hinchcliffe, Micheal McMenamin, and Grace Murphy – winners of the In-hand, Foal, and Riding Championships respectively at the recent RUAS show at Balmoral. You can see our gallery of photos from the day here.

Ballybaun Cashel has produced a colt foal by Fredericksminde Manly, Fredericksminde Mathilda (covered by Cashlebay Cruise) has produced a beautiful filly, Cashelbay Mary (covered by Linsfort Barney) has a colt foal. The story of the season so far [...]
Fredericksminde Mellow II has passed for inspection, with all A’s. She is progressing very well, and looks a very promising show filly and foundation mare.
Fredericksminde Manly (Kippure Cashel X Frederiksminde Mandy) arrived at Cashlebay Stud in late 2009, passed for inspection in 2010, and began running and covering both Cashelbay mares and visiting mares soon after. He provided a valuable influx of fresh blood into the herd – covering the offspring of Cashelbay Prince and Cashelbay Cruise. With two [...]
